        Verdict

BARKIS confirmed why the Henderson yard have persevered with the lightly-raced 9-y-o when scoring at Newton Abbot this month and may prove capable of a follow-up in what doesn't appear a strong contest. Alan Doyle retains the ride and his claim brings him nicely down the weights. Djarkevi is interesting on a first run since wind surgery and St John's continues to suggest the best is yet to come despite a rather low-key overall profile. Grams And Ounces is a good servant to connections under both codes but doesn't appear the sort to land back-to-back successes and Baron Von Chill rates a larger threat after appearing somewhat unlucky here last time. He previously scored comfortably at Market Rasen and looks on the upgrade. Compatriot and Take The High Road remain unexposed.
