        Verdict

        Sir Roderic carries 6lb extra for winning at Windsor and steps up a grade. Beyond Equal landed a double earlier this year and was beaten only a neck at Windsor on his latest start but Ashpan Sam’s earlier success at Lingfield came over 5f. DIAMOND DOUGAL (NAP) has recorded both of this year’s wins over shorter trips but scored over 6f last season and, after suffering a short-head defeat in a tougher sprint at Sandown last time, Mick Channon’s charge gets the nod on his return from a lay-off.
