Verdict
PORT OR STARBOARD never looked like catching the winner when second over track and trip on his hurdling debut but will have benefitted for the experience and can go one better. He’s preferred to the more exposed Chantilly Haze while Greenrock Abbey and Bolsover Bill are likely improvers. Spike Jones won a bumper at Fontwell last month and makes his hurdling bow along with Mr Chill and Dalamoi with the latter making most appeal as a half-brother to the top-class Don Poli.
