Frightened Rabbit is a course and distance winner who seems a lot more consistent nowadays. Sheriff Garrett is a course specialist but might struggle to dominate over this shorter trip. HART OF STEEL started favourite for the race the latter won over 2m4f here in May but was an early casualty. However, Donald McCain’s charge won this last year and was successful at Carlisle last month off a 5lb higher mark. He’s gone up a further 3lb but another victory may be on the cards. Romeo Brown isn’t badly treated and the returning Kaizer and Honda Fifty could also figure while Magna Moralia has placed several times on the Flat since last seen over timber.
