Verdict

It’s exactly a year since Captain Quint finished second in a maiden point at Tinahely and he’s likely to make a better chaser than hurdler. Jack Of All Shapes has proved progressive in bumpers but FORTESCUE WOOD beat a subsequent Grade 1 winner in that sphere at Ayr last season and had excuses when last of four at that track later. Nick Alexander’s six-year-old gets the nod in this ahead of Maid Of Houxty, who hasn't been seen since a close third in a Newcastle maiden in February
