In depth

Verdict

On The Rox wasn’t entirely disgraced here on hurdling debut and may be the best of Evan Williams’ quartet while Eva's Oskar was close up for a long way at Chepstow but MONSIEUR LECOQ is the one to beat in this if running up to the form he showed when third to Tokay Dokey at Uttoxeter. A subsequent run at Auteuil came in Listed company and he departed too early to make a judgement on where he would have finished. Chambard has been a big disappointment in two runs over hurdles considering he won a Grade 1 bumper in France
