In depth

Verdict

Lamanver Pippin showed up well on heavy going in his bumper and is surely better than he showed at Exeter being a half-brother to two winning jumpers. Colin Tizzard also runs Wee Saxon and Financial Outcome was third to a nice staying prospect at Hereford. Minella Examiner was sold for £75,000 after finishing second in a maiden between the flags in March but SHAMAN DU BERLAIS sets a decent standard on his third in a Chepstow maiden as he was only beaten half-a-length, despite hanging up the run-in, and Alan Johns prefers him to Clondaw Ace.
