Verdict
PLENTY OF CHAT is the selection with Backfromthecongo and Montana Gold on the shortlist. Tim Vaughan's inmate was well backed last time out though left the money in the bookmakers' satchels. Cheekpieces are tried today in an effort to reinvigorate him and this is far from the strongest of contests. Backfromthecongo has a combination of blinkers and tonguestrap. The blinkers applied for the first time. He does not win often though stays three miles in his own time. Montana Gold has the services of a condtional that can take 8lb off under the conditions of this race. Formerly trained by Nicky Henderson, he looks to have lost his way but this is the kind of blank canvas with which his trainer is successful. Back In Business has clearly had problems as two seasons off the course indicate. His last run did represent a step back in the right direction. Not the strongest of races on a Saturday and Plenty Of Chat is put up with some reservations.
