Malpas Missile sets the standard in this maiden after her third in the listed Hilary Needler Trophy and although she should do better back at this level after a poor run in a conditions race her price is likely to be prohibitive so instead preference is made for newcomer LAMASASS, from a yard, in form while Royal Opera should also go close. Barry Hills has sent out plenty of winners in the last few days, including a few juveniles, which is an obvious plus in the selection's favour. He's well bred and is likely to give a good account on debut at a potentially nice value price. Royal Opera was only narrowly denied in a Ascot Nursery on his last start but he'll probably need to improve on that and might now be a little exposed. Malpas Missile should be hard to beat dropped back into the company and is a useful bench for the others and Kryncraighe ran his best race to date on his last run and can build on that. Malpas Missile has solid claims but at the likely odds Lamasass looks better value.
