Savaronola and Aegean King both make appeal here, but we'll side with CAST OF STARS. Ralph Beckett's gelding, his only runner on the card, is lightly raced, with just four previous runs. On his penultimate outing he was runner-up here in December in a maiden, but after a break was stone last on handicap debut just over a week ago. He may have needed that run though, so we won't give up on him just yet. Market support would be encouraging for Barney Curley's Savaronola, looking to follow up a victory in a similar race at Wolverhampton, since when he's had another unsuccessful spin over hurdles. The yard's runners rarely manage back to back wins though, and this is the first time he's been tried on a right-handed track for a couple of years. Aegean King has had one previous run on Polytrack, at Wolverhampton when a gamble went astray. This is a further step up in trip though and it'll be interesting to see if the support is still there for him. Winning Show and Respendent Bet both have course and distance winning form, but a while ago. Addikt is an interesting runner, having his first run for his yard and first outing since October. This is the furthest he's ever raced, and market support for the top-weight might tempt us. However, preference is for Cast Of Stars.
