Verdict
Sir Egbert won over hurdles at Taunton in March and is 6lb higher for his chasing debut while Rebecca Curtis has sent two of the last three winners but Absolute Power was well beaten at Newbury on his first start over fences. Air Navigator, Cesar Collonges and Monbeg Aquadude are others to note with the latter winning a maiden hurdle here in March but GONE PLATINUM gets another chance. By far the most experienced over fences, he won over a shorter trip here in May and has gone close again on a couple of occasions subsequently including a nose defeat over track and trip in October.
