In depth

Verdict

Derrick D'Anjou would have a decent chance at the weights in this if anywhere near ready but has never encountered ground this soft. Blinkers would need to improve Realt Or while Mid Day Gun’s second at Carlisle was a bolt out the blue and it remains to be seen if he’s turned the corner. URTHEONETHATIWANT (NAP) built on an improved performance at Warwick by winning next time at Kempton. He will have stamina to prove over this even longer trip but is still lightly raced so gets the nod ahead of Arqalina, who weakened quickly when favourite at Lingfield six weeks ago but had finished close behind the prolific Uno Mas at Hereford before that.
