In depth

Verdict

Three of these, HUNTERS LODGE, Flying Vic and Makethe Mostofnow, won between the flags before making moderate debuts over timber. All can do better with preference for the former, who was in touch for a long way over slightly further at Warwick and will have cone on for the run. Buddy Bolero started favourite on his debut in a Fontwell bumper and though unable to match strides with the principals has pedigree suggests he'll do much better over jumps. Stablemate Bathwick Brave is another likely to make progress after a modest hurdling debut while Indian Tiger showed potential in a Down Royal bumper in March and is one to note in the betting as is the newcomer Bugaku.
