In depth
Verdict
Autumn Rain is a potentially useful recruit from the flat, having won three times at around ten furlongs this year, and if he takes to timber he is likely to be a danger to one and all in this moderate-looking heat. The only note of caution is that his only run since leaving Neville Callaghan's stable was a poor one and he has been off the track for some time since. Doran's Day, who hadn't shown much in three starts in bumpers, shaped well enough on his hurdling debut and a reproduction of that form should see him in the shake-up, while Bee An Bee, who had shown decent bumper form, is expected to improve on his hurdling debut at Chepstow, which was his first start in eight months. However, the TEAMtalk selection goes to Cyindien, from a stable in good form at present. This Cyborg gelding showed plenty of promise on his sole start so far, finishing fifth in a decent bumper at Fontwell last season. He is expected to be well schooled and unlikely to be lacking for fitness, so is fancied to land this en route to possibly better things.
