        Verdict

        Rae Guest's CORTON CHARLEMAGNE has shown improved form of late with wins at Windsor and Newcastle followed by a decent effort when a close third behind Rocket Rob at Sandown and she looks worth following racing off the same mark today, getting the vote over Lesley's Choice and Magical Speedfit. George Margarson's gelding has run better in his last two starts and he should be thereabouts again today racing off the same mark. Even Bolder has struggled against the handicapper since winning at Sandown a year ago but has at least now dropped to a winning mark and he has to be considered. Simple Rhythm has shown improved form in sellers recently but is likely to find this tougher back in a handicap and of more interest may be Lesley's Choice. The Roger Curtis-trained gelding should appreciate the return to a faster surface having been well held on softer ground of late but preference is for Corton Charlemagne.
