Verdict

Jim Best's recent Towcester winner Man of The Moment is bound to be popular with backers with Tony McCoy booked for the ride but a 9lb rise for that success looks harsh and preference is for ULTIMATE LIMIT, who gets the vote with Salsero rated the main danger. The selection overcame an absence from the track since October 2006 when running out an easy winner of a Fontwell handicap nine days ago and, provided that he does not bounce, the nine-year-old should be more than capable of defying the 7lb penalty for that success. Walton Way has struggled in four starts since his win at Plumpton in April and looks best watched, while Portrait Royale needs to put a couple of below par efforts behind her. Sabreflight is better than her latest start at Hereford would suggest and has to be considered along with Salsero, who similarly has disappointed in his last two starts but has solid claims on earlier efforts. This is a poor contest but judged by his recent Fontwell success, Ultimate Limit looks the one to be on.
