In depth
Verdict
Grand Prairie gets what can only be a tentative vote in a dreadful contest and is preferred to Foxmeade Dancer and Fletcher. The last mentioned represents the in-form stable of Hugh Morrison but this stayer from the flat is unlikely to appreciate the drop back in trip having run with credit over further on his return to hurdling last month. Top weight North Point has been given a chance by the handicapper but has given little cause for optimism of late, while Misbehaviour is on a long losing sequence. More obvious claims are held by Foxmeade Dancer, although he has paid the penalty for finishing so close to Vanormix in a non-handicap at Hereford last month. The vote then goes to Grand Prairie who was well held on his return at Warwick last month but is entitled to come on for that run and takes a big drop in class today.
