In depth

Verdict

Snakebite is held in high regard by trainer Mark Pitman and he is a confident choice to land this bumper, It's A Dream and Shernatra are put forward as the main rivals. Snakebite came to the racecourse with a big reputation and started his career in a valuable Newbury event. He wasn't disgraced, finishing a close up third behind Lutea. He was then beaten by Karanja in a lower grade contest at Windsor, but the form was given a massive boost on Saturday when that winner easily landed one of the best bumpers of the season. He may be at prohibitive odds but Snakebite does look the one to be on. It's A Dream appears to be the main rival having finished a gallant third behind Wee Robbie at Plumpton on his debut. He is certain to improve and will be hard to keep out of the places. Shernatra also did well on his debut, chasing home Saxon Mist at Newton Abbot, he should prove best of the remainder. However it will take a good one to beat Snakebite who should land the spoils.
