Verdict
Another low-grade handicap to close Proceedings. The maiden In Xanadu has been something of a disappointment for connections and has been tried in both a visor and blinkers, to no avail. However, he should strip sharper for the outing at Nottingham and cannot be left out of calculations at this level. Easter Ogil enjoyed a successful winter on the All-Weather picking up five races along the way. He handles fast ground and is well treated on turf compared to the sand. There should be little between Perfidious, the locally trained Paulas Pride, and Anemos, who were separated by less than three-lengths over course and distance earlier this month. However, a chance is taken with the latter to come out on top this time. He probably isn't the most straightforward of animals, but he has since run well in defeat at Warwick, where he came from some way off the pace to finish a never nearer third. He is clearly on good terms with himself at present and with Jimmy Quinn, who knows him so well again taking the reins, he looks the one they all have to beat.
