In depth
Verdict
David Loder has made a great start since moving base, and High School, a full-sister to In The Wings, can step up on her recent debut here to score, with Sea Plume and Light of Morn taken to chase her home. Oaks entry High School was sent off as a warm order on her debut here three weeks ago, but had the misfortune to run into a potentially very useful sort in John Gosden's Bowstring, and had to settle for second place. In keeping with her breeding, High School is now stepped up to a mile and a half and she is strongly fancied to make amends before tackling better company. Light of Morn sees the racecourse for the first time and this half-sister to useful Moments Of Joy is also earmarked for Epsom if good enough. She has been pleasing at home and should acquit herself well without quite being good enough at the first time of asking. Sea Plume holds no fancy entries and has a job on giving weight to her younger rivals, but Al Beedaa, Portrait of A Lady and Marine City can all show more than they did in their first season. None of them may be good enough today however against the hot favourite High School who can add to the Loder stable's victory in this race 12 months ago with Choral Chimes.
