      Verdict

      A very poor contest in which Complication and Somethingabouther are the only two to make any serious appeal. The former belied big odds to finish third to Pagan Storm in a Newmarket maiden. She seemed to respond well to Lisa Jones and a repeat of that effort would suffice in this contest. Somethingabouther is a confirmed five furlong specialist who would win this if reproducing a third at Catterick to Landing Strip. Dean Ivory's yard are not in form at the moment and backers are taking a chance. Rare Destiny will attempt to make all but is exposed as moderate and is not favoured at the weights. Similar comments that apply to Ryan's Quest. Having considered all the alternatives, it is our recommendation that a win bet at minimal stakes should be placed on Complication.
