      Verdict

      Our Fred is on a longish losing sequence but has been running with credit in slightly better company than this on the all-weather of late and is suited by the race conditions. The yard is in good form and the five-year-old should prove hard to beat in the first time visors. Palawan had also been holding his form well until a rare below-par effort last time but has a 3lb penalty to concede here while Pop The Cork should improve for his recent Ripon return but needs to find a little at the weights.
