In depth

Verdict

A low grade staying handicap in which the top weight, Western Bluebird, is rated just 53 but looks good enough to prevail. Hughie Morrison's charge was successful off a 3lb higher mark at Wolverhampton in December and shaped as though this trip would suit when a staying-on fourth over a mile and a half at Pontefract earlier this month. Tenderfoot disappointed after scoring at Redcar last August and may need the run while Silvaani is still a maiden and looks worth opposiing despite a fair effort last time and Momentous Jones remains out of form.
