Verdict
In the finale, the short list contains Overwing, Smiddy Hill and Tilly's Dream, but the vote goes to Overwing. Overwing has been raised six pounds for a Bath success but, even so, looks likely to run well as she is in such good form. Smiddy Hill also comes here in good heart following a win and fillies in form can often pay to follow, so she is respected. Much as Kallista's Pride won this race from a nine-pounds lower mark last season, it is clearly a good time of year for her and she is not ruled out of things. Devine Dancer has shown some improvement of late and cannot be ruled out of bagging some money, while Smooch would have a big chance based on her best spring form, although the visor was applied to little effect last time. Tartatartufata wold hold a big shout based on her winning form of June 2005, but she has failed to sparkle of late. Red Sovereign is capable of a good run from her current mark, Tilly's Dream won from today's mark last October and comes here on the back of a good run, and Fen Guest was disappointing on her Turf handicap debut last time following an all-weather success. All of which returns us to the selection, which is Overwing.
