        Verdict

        Few can boast solid recent form in a race that is little better than selling grade but learned Lad is a notable exception and looks the one to beat. The son of Royal Academy comes here having completed a profitable campaign on the all-weather including three handicap wins at Lingfield. Jamie Poulton's charge is fairly treated by the race conditions and the booking of Kieren Fallon catches the eye. My Maite and Lara Falana have shown fair form this winter and are both capable of going close but Prideway, who lifted back-to-back wins at Woverhampton last month has taken a sharp rise in the weights and may struggle.
