Verdict
Autumn Blades is no star but it's very difficult to get away from him here given the paucity of the opposition. John Hills' gelding has a rating of 72 with Joe Rich boasting the next highest mark of 45. Four of the field have yet to qualify for a mark but none of them showed enough immediate promise to mark them out as potential winners of this race. Global Glory may be the most interesting of them despite finishing only just in front of Bluebird Chariot at Warwick where the pair were a long way adrift of the winner. James Toller has his string in good order and he may be able to step up on that initial effort. The selection has been frustrating given that he finished within 5 lengths of Iguazu Falls on debut. He's finished second three times since then and didn't fare too badly in a handicap last time when wearing cheekpieces. He's had the misfortune to bump into some fair sorts but meets nothing of their quality here and connections really will be pulling their hair out if Autumn Blades cannot plunder this prize.
