Verdict
We give the vote here to Dash For Cover ahead of Eastborough and Miss Pebbles. This is no an easy race to solve as many of the runners - including Easter Ogil, Galloway Mac and Cuddles - come here fit from the all-weather. If they can sustain their form on Turf then they can be given chances but we prefer to side with Dash For Cover. The Richard Hannon-trained gelding ended last season on a high by winning a Salisbury maiden . Admittedly, his handicap efforts last year were disappointing but he ought to have progressed from three to four years of age and we'll take the chance that he has. Many of these look to be much of a muchness really. Galloway Mac won a modest event at Southwell last time, while Cuddles, who was quite highly tried on occasion last season, and Pure Speculation have, basically, been disappointing. It could be that the time to catch Miss Pebbles is when she is fresh, as she ran well when runner-up in an Ascot maiden last season before her form tailed off. Eastborough seemed to come back to form on the all-weather in recent months and has Turf form from two years ago that would give him a very good chance of winning if he can race again to that level. However, overall, we'll stick with the two Richards - Hannon and Hughes - to register another win with Dash For Cover.
