Boberelle can prove best of a so far disappointing bunch, with Oscar Jack, Love of Classics, Nagam and Future To Future the other main players. Boberelle got his career off to the best possible start when landing a Ludlow bumper in December 2004, but has failed to build on that effort in six subsequent outings. However his second to Kaldouas at Windsor in December and third behind Ben's Turn at Warwick on Boxing Day is as good as it gets in the context of this maiden hurdle and connections will be very hopeful. Love of Classics has been placed a number of times in staying contests, and Oscar Jack was second over fences on his last start in France. Nagam will appreciate this slightly shorter trip after fading out of contention in the heavy at Chepstow last time, but Future To Future has shown nothing yet and can only improve. A race in which to play only to small stakes, and one in which Boberelle is the pick.
