In depth

Verdict

All Quiet just gets the call here from Merrymadcap and, possibly, Glad Big. It will be interesting to see how Kempton's new track deals with 17 runners in a field but we will take the view that a high draw is the one to have. Mystic Man comes here in good heart and has actually won from today's mark in the past so is respected. All Quiet, Fasylitator and Obrigado are closely weighted based on recent Lingfield form, and each of them can be given claims, with our preference being for All Quiet, who is just three pounds above a winning Turf mark and who would have needed his latest run. The four-timer seeking Merrymadcap may yet have more to come and, despite having been raised four pounds for his latest win, can go well from his high draw. Glad Big is capable of winning from his current mark, but he is becoming hard to win with, while General Feeling is edging back towards a winning mark and might make the frame, and Lincolneurocruiser is weighted to get closer to Mystic Man and Glad Big - who ought to have won the race - based on Wolverhampton form of March 15th. Finally, Akona Matata looked a progressive type when winning the first-ever race on this surface seven days ago, but a rating of 82 makes things trickier today, and Surwaki looked promising at two but is having his first run since fracturing a pelvis so is probably best watched today. Overall, then, in a competitive affair is All Quiet, who might be able to overcome his seven box.
