Verdict
Chris Gordon and Tom Cannon teamed up to win this last year with Lord Baddesley and Baddesley represents the combination this time. He won his bumper here in 2019 but hasn’t raced since January last year. San Pedro, a winner on the Flat in Ireland, hasn’t shown much over hurdles since a debut second at Killarney in May but OUR SURPRISE and Haddex Des Obeaux are returning from a break. Harry Fry’s Newton Abbot winner may be capable of more, however, having undergone wind surgery.
