Verdict
Assoon has fair form and can beat the reappearing East Hill and promising Kaparolo. The latter, a winner at Salisbury on the Flat, was fancied to open his account on his hurdles debut at Worcester, but was beaten by a 33-1 shot. He stayed on well enough and just needs to brush up his jumping to take a hand. East Hill was a bumper winner here two years ago, but has not lived up to that promise. However, he has taken on decent company in the past and if fit enough will go close. On this occasion though he may have to give best to Assoon who has been in good form this season. Gary Moore's charge, a bumper winner at Worcester, has been kept in trim with a spin on the Flat at Lingfield and more recently, an encouraging debut over timber at Market Rasen. Second to Cedar Master there, he showed enough to warrant a small interest here, and if starting at bigger odds than East Hill, would represent the value.
