Verdict

SACRILEGE bids for the hat-trick and can take it at the expense of Consulate and Lady Hilingdon. Life in handicaps will be tough for Tim Vaughan's charge so the stable follow the tried and tested route of accruing penalties in novice events. A first time tongue tie joins the regular cheekpieces and we believe that there could be more to come. Consulate never troubled our selection last time though is better treated at the weights. Lady Hillingdon acts on fast surfaces so the mare's recent run at Sligo can be safely overlooked. Pelennor looks exposed though would need others not to run up to their form in order to take a hand. Flanders Fields makes a debut over hurdles having shown nothing for new connections on British debut on the level. Princely Hero finished third in a particularly weak Worcester maiden and was sold out of Dermot Weld's stable for a worryingly small amount given some of his flat form. Sacrilege shows no signs of stopping his improvement and we see no reason to start opposing him just yet.
