In depth

Verdict

A small but competitive field goes to post for this handicap chase and the principals look to be Magico, Kyper Disco and Buffalo Bill, and the vote is given to Magico. The selection won in good style last time out when beating Rookery Lad. This looks easier and, under similar conditions here, he is hard to oppose. Kyper Disco was held in high regard a couple of seasons ago but he has been let down by his jumping of late. However, if he put in a fluent round of jumping he would not be far away. Buffalo Bill is another that could go well based on his latest second behind Julies Boy, but the suspicion is he will be seen to better effect over a longer trip in time. Of the others, Lough Rynn was a fair third behind Monty Be Quick last time, but that effort leaves him with a little to find with the principals and, for the winner, we return to Magico, whose stable continues in good form.
