In depth

Verdict

Only half-a-length separated Brooklyn Belle and Rosie Picture at Newton Abbot and the result may have been different had the latter not lost her footing around the final bend. Sue Gardner’s mare can take her revenge, though she will need to overturn earlier running with Shantou Sunset. Miss Mondito hasn’t shown a great deal in points but LIBBDAN looks a newcomer to note. By NH sire Oscar, she’s the first foal to race of a bumper and hurdles winner and likely to know what’s required.
