Verdict

Mr Bachster had Bertenbar well behind at Towcester in January but ran no sort of race on a return visit to the Northamptonshire circuit when finishing tailed off in a contest in which Edlomond was second. Bill Turner's charge has flattered to deceive in the past, however, so the safest option in this appears to be MATROW'S LADY. She is now only 3lb higher than when scoring over a longer trip at the track in November and was third over course and distance last month. The Informant has been disappointing this season while Zero Visibility hasn't really taken to fences so far, though both are course winners.
