Verdict

Cape Stormer is selected here ahead of Guerabad and Borehill Joker. The David Pipe-trained Guerabad clearly has to be closely monitored on his British debut. Cape Stormer has now won his last five races, including here under rules over half-a-mile further than today. He has to be seriously considered.A return to his July to September 2006 form would bring Borehill Joker into it, while Westfield Dancer, who has won five of his last seven races, is now six pounds above a winning mark. Keltic Lord has it to prove based on recent efforts, and the market should be watched with regard to the chances of Irish raider Newton Bridge. Finally, Montys Island has it to prove from his current mark. All of which returns us the selection, which is Cape Stormer.
