Verdict

Harcourt is the pick ahead of Silver Serg, Maximix and Love Angel. This could turn out to be a tight little contest, with only narrow preference for Harcourt who went down all guns blazing to City Affair here in August. That was over two furlongs less than today though, and the step up in trip should help the selection to get back to winning ways. Silver Serg bolted up at Plumpton last time and may have more to give, but this is a wee bit tougher. Maximix stayed on well behind Amnesty at Plumpton last time, and this extra half-mile should help, while Love Angel made no show round here on his return from a break, but has winning form on the track. Mistified gets weight all round in a bid to get Hereford losses back and is another to consider for a place at least, but we are happy to side with Harcourt.
