In depth
Verdict
Nordic Combined is just a pound higher than when winning at Taunton around this time last year and Fergus Gillard takes off another 5lb, though David Pipe's charge has been a little disappointing this term and we’re loathe to desert the much-improved MOUNT WINDSOR. Chris Gordon’s charge will have to defy a further 8lb rise and a three-month sabbatical to complete the four-timer but credible opposition looks thin on the ground in this. The maiden Zafar, second at Wincanton last month, looks best of the rest as Kings Walk and the selection’s stable companion Baddesley Prince have been off the track for a long time.
