Verdict
It's probably a source of frustration to Sam Thomas that BALLYBEEN is still a maiden but this may be the day he sheds that unwanted tag. He's finished runner-up on all three fencing starts - not beaten far on any occasion - and looks well treated off a mark of 107, with Joe Anderson's 5lb claim a further plus. Twenty Twenty has clearly had his issues and fell at the first on his comeback run but Rob Hargreaves takes 10lb off here and he's worth keeping an eye on. I Giorni and Pawpaw are consistent enough but the market will tell us when to expect from Big 'n Better, last seen back in May 2021 when making a successful debut over fences.
