Verdict
LAVENOAK LAD is in good form and he can win again with Count The Cost and Lahinch Lad the main dangers. The selection is a thorough stayer and he ran a blinder last time out when he beat Count The Cost over this course and distance. He relished the step-up in trip and with the promise of more to come he is taken to score again. Count The Cost put in a brave performance last time but our selection always looked as though he had his measure and it is hard to see him turning the tables today. Lahinch Lad was a little disappointing here last time when the cheek-pieces didn't appear to work the oracle, but they are back on today and if they do have an impact then he could go well. A similar comment would apply to Spartan Place who was entitled to need the run last time on his return from a break. However, Lavenoak Lad is in good form and he can win again.
