Verdict

This is not the best of contests and what can only be a tentative vote goes to the consistent Admiral Peary, who gets the vote ahead of Tashkandi and Misbehaviour. The last mentioned has run creditably in handicaps in his last three starts and may appreciate the drop in class to selling company so has to be respected. Carew Lad has given little sign of encouragement this term and of more interest may be Honduras, who might have been sharpened up by a recent run on the level. Tashkandi ran better at Fakenham last time and has claims in this moderate company but it is Admiral Peary that gets the vote. The selection is not as good as he once was but is a force to be reckoned with in this company and he looks the one they all have to beat.
