Quiet a competitive heat with the top weight Mercato, just scraping into this on 115. John Best's seven-year-old, owned by professional punter Dave Nevison, has enjoyed a decent season and is only 3lbs higher than when winning a similar event at Plumpton last month. The drying ground will pose no problems for him and he is taken to add to his tally. He may have most to fear from course winner Half The Pot, who was one place ahead of him at Ascot, yet meets his rival on 10lbs worse terms, taking into account Tom Best's claim. Dual course winner Kildare Chiller is clearly at home around these turns, but he may find the ground going against him, while others to consider include Cooling Off, the winner of a seller here and Wuxi Venture, who is only 4lbs higher than when winning at Bangor last month.
