Verdict
Drum Battle has been a grand servant in his time and while he is getting no younger, he is still capable of a decent level of form, although he could well find the ground going against him here. There should again be little between him and Here Comes Henry, who filled second and third places behind runaway winner River Bug at Plumpton, on these terms. However, they look as though they may be playing for places again behind Red Hare, who will be all the better for his recent outing at Hereford. The drying ground will hold no fears for the former Nicky Henderson charge and he is taken to land this marathon event.
