In the opener, Walton Way is selected ahead of Storm Prince and Rockwithacaveman. Storm Prince improved for cheekpieces and the drop to selling company last time and, even though he has been raised seven pounds for that, could go well again. Blueland has not lived up to expectations but first-time headgear might help the cause today, while Walton Way got back to winning form at Ludlow last time and, even though he too has been raised for that, he clearly likes this faster going and a good run cannot be ruled out. The David Pipe-trained Rockwithacaveman has not shown much but is lightly raced and cannot be ruled out, while Oeil d'Estruval might improve for the better going today as his best French form is on it. Shady Anne has shown bits of form, while Manque Neuf is back to a winning mark but has shown little in two starts since 2005. Overall, in a modest race, we will go for Walton Way.
