Verdict

The Entomologist gets the vote over Mous Of Men and Nobel Bleu de Kerpau. The Entomologist is only lightly raced, and at the age of six has plenty more to give judged on his efforts so far. Charlie Egerton's charge ran on really strongly when beating Noble Raider at Fakenham on his last start just over three months ago, and lines up a fresh horse in a bid to keep up the good work. The four-year-old Mous Of Men has been pitched in amongst the likes of Pouvoir, Punjabi and Osana on each of his three outings in this country, and off just 10st 3lb, is expected to make a bold bid under Timmy Murphy. Nobel Bleu de Kerpau was put in his place by Hereditary here last time, and the latter was down to run at Uttoxeter on Saturday. A good run by Linda Jewell's inmate at the Midlands track may be a pointer to the chances of Nobel Bleu de Kerpau, a previous course-and-distance winner. Nothing else makes too much appeal, and we are sweet on the chance of The Entomologist.
