Verdict
We finish with a competitive handicap hurdle where DANISH MONARCH is just preferred ahead of Phoenix Des Mottes while Laconicos has decent each-way claims. The selection has been running well in the last month or so scoring twice and finishing second best twice in his last four runs. A winning performance by Deadline earlier in the day would enhance his claim but having only found that in-form animal too good last time under this load he should go well again. Phoenix Des Mottes finished ahead of a couple of subsequent winners off this mark last time and given his unexposed nature he can improve to run beyond his current rating. Laconicos is feasibly weighted to get into the prizes at a bigger price and Kijivu put in an encouraging performance last time and if building on that has a chance. A nice competitive end to proceedings and Danish Monarch should be king.
