      Verdict

      The card draws to a close with another run of the mill handicap and the vote goes to Arjaypear while Rookery Lad and Mantilla rate the chief dangers. Alan King's charge showed only modest form on the Flat but has shaped well to finish runner-up on his last two starts over timber. The step up in trip should suit ideally and the four-year-old looks capable of opening his account off a fair mark on his handicap debut. Rookery Lad has proved a model of consistency and put up a particularly good effort when chasing home a fair sort in better company at Stratford last time so has to be feared off the same mark. Mantilla has finished runner-up in similar company on her last two starts but has been raised 4lb since so may have to settle for a place behind Arjaypear who has solid credentials in a weak event.
