In depth

Verdict

Aya brings a solid level of form to the table however Fit To Drive has shaped with some potential and she gets the vote score ahead of Banoo. Brendan Powell's horses are now in better form than at the start of the year and this mare ran her best race to date when second last time out. That run, albeit some way behind the winner Theatre Girl, looks arguably the best piece of form in this lineup and with further improvement to come, she receives the vote. Aya has bumped into two smart sorts on her two outings over timber and she is unlikely to find anything of their calibre today so must rate a threat, whilst Banoo is very consistent and of what we have seen so far, the drop in trip looks a good move. Markila is yet to flourish since coming across from France and is held by Aya on their run here at the track, whilst at a price Donatessa could reach the fame. An open beginning, with Fit To Drive the nomination.
