In depth

Verdict

Inghwung is hard to pronounce but should have claims in this easier race, however it is Lupanar who receives the vote ahead of Archduke Ferdinand. Gary Moore's gelding has shown plenty of ability since coming across from France and whilst he was outclassed last time out at Aintree behind Binocular, this race is obviously significantly easier. His previous win at Folkestone looks fair form and with this trip more to his liking, a big run should be on the cards at a track where his trainer excels. Inghwung was disappointing when prominent in the betting at Newbury. It may be that this better ground will suit, and she has solid claims despite having to give weight away. Pouily is a contender as he has shown plenty of ability to date but we may not see the best of him until he jumps a fence. Archduke Ferdinand has been off the track for nearly a year but he is one to watch in the betting, whilst Daltaban also needs to be monitored for signs of support from his shrewd stable. Big Paddy has plenty to find on the selection on their previous meeting and so we will return to Lupanar as the nomination.
