Verdict
Helvetio showed little sign of ability when with Micky Hammond and it will be interesting to see how he performs on his first start for David Pipe but a safer option looks to be JOSHUA, who gets the vote over Scholar King. A faller on his first start over fences at Southwell, it is no surprise to see Evan Williams put the gelding back over hurdles today and he has to be respected on previous form over timber. Lough Beg has been well held in his last two starts and of more interest may be Laconicos, who has run better in his last two starts here, latterly behind King Of The Titans, but he may be a shade high in the weights. Michael Scudamore's Tiger Moss is gradually slipping to a fair mark but remains a maiden after 13 starts and a better bet looks to be Joshua. Don Cantillon's gelding won well over fences at Huntingdon two starts ago, can race off the same mark back over hurdles today and he looks the one they all have to beat.
